The poll has closed and the votes have been counted, and for the fourth year in a row the Dutch Trance master Armin Van Buuren tops the poll for 2010.

After 2009's roadblock event, DJ Mag decided to host 2 parties. The main event was held at London's Ministry of Sound hosted by legendary DJ Boy George. Whilst simultaneously Sankeys in Manchester flung open its doors, with a live link-up to the Ministry of Sound provided by the team at b@TV.

With a line-up that boasted Sasha, Deadmau5, Fedde le Grand, Laidback Luke, Eddie Halliwell, Afrojack and Jerome Isma-ae, the party kept rocking hard at the Ministry until 4am. Whilst in Manchester Sankeys played host to Mat Zo, Gareth Emery, Ferry Corsten, Greg Vickers, Ellesse and OD Musique.

Also, to ensure neither party missed out on a set from the newly crowned World's Number 1 DJ, a chartered helicopter whisked the winner from London to Manchester in time for the final set!

Once again this year's coverage was beamed live across the world via the good people at Be@TV in glorious HD. But don't worry if you missed it, because the best sets of the night are available on demand, so check out www.be-at.tv for more info.

Though the top 10 remain similar this year, the back end of the poll shows up countless new entries and climbers. Awards host Boy George smashed into the poll at number 80, whilst Russian duo Moonbeam climbed a massive 34 places, and drum & bass legend Andy C jumped a mammoth 39 places to take this year's 61!

At the other end of the scale David Guetta leapfrogged Tiesto to take number 2, knocking Tiesto into 3rd place. Deadmau5 who played an outstanding set adding 2 iPads to the kit list on stage, jumped 2 places to number 4, whilst last year's non-mover Above & Beyond slipped 1 place to number 5.

This just goes to show how much the scene changes over 12 months, and how the public's taste grows and develops endlessly.

Here's a rundown of the Top 20 DJs for 2010:-
